Ranchu Appreciation

On these pages I will try and build a libary on the areas of appreciation with regard to Ranchu. I am always open for comments regarding my observations as I do not pretend to know it all or always get it right. I am also by no means a good photograper so often the photos do not do the fish justice.

The initial topic is tails, this is the first point of culling and one of the easiest areas to identify faults etc. Future sections will look at finneage, backs, peduncle and wen.   I do not keep fish with joined tails, however I have previously kept back a few fish with tail faults so I could see how they develop and some are shown at the end of the attached gallery.
